This is one of the sizes in our standard range of Heavy Water Ballast Land Rollers and is very popular where a farmer needs a good sized land roller but with quite a bit more weight than the standard smaller diameter rollers or ours.

Unique to Pluck’s is our very heavy duty 150mm Axle, because we know that from 48 years of manufacturing Land Rollers that with wider rollers the crown in your road between farms or your lane ways can be the reason that most heavy land roller axles break or at the very least cause your roller to crack around the centre area of the two drums. So we manufacture all our 1.930M (6ft4”) Diameter rollers with 150mm (6”) axles, so this makes them trouble free for life on your farm.

They can be manufactured out of most sizes of plate thickness, our standard plate thicknesses are 20mm and 25mm, 25mm if you have very stony or rocky ground. Our standard size is 20mm (3/4”) roller plate.

All our land rollers come with spring loaded scrapers on the rear and a fold up jack on the front, and a very heavy I beam frame design with this model that has stood the test of time to ensure trouble free use for a life time on your farm and the next generation to come.

Optional Extras

Spring loaded tow bar attachment

This model has an optional extra which is a special attachment manufactured especially for very lumpy ground (for example boarder dyke irrigation humps in the paddock) where the roller is constantly pushing and pulling on your tractor tow bar, what the spring loaded tow bar on the roller frame does is cushion the forward and backwards movements of the roller verse tractor energy and takes all the solid collisions out of the towing connection that you can hear and feel via the tow bar pin every time you speed up or slow down. It makes for a very comfortable day in the cab and no doubt is a lot easier on your tractor drive train and transmission as well.

Shipping

As with all our rollers they can be transported with the draw bar removed by us un-bolting it at our workshop and you simply bolting it back on once on your farm. We recommend the use of a HIAB truck or bigger flat deck truck that we can load at our end with our huge forklift, then you simply unload at your end with the HIAB or loading bank and bolt the draw bar back on with the 16 big high tensile bolts supplied, and your new roller is all set to go for the life time of your farm.

By having the draw bar removable this makes freighting cost far less, because your roller can be on the truck deck within the dimensions of the deck, so no oversized permits and extra spending required.

What size Heavy Roller do I need?

Size will be determined by:

Stone size - how big your stones are will affect what plate thickness you need:
- 16mm (shingle up to fist size)
- 20mm (fist up to pumpkin)
- 25mm (rugby ball or bigger)
- no stones or swampy
Horsepower of tractor; it's important to match your towing capacity to the weight of roller
If your land has rolling, undulating hills or it's flat (if your tractor is 4WD, this also influences the roller model).
